DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS FOR AFRICAN UNION/UNITED NATIONS MISSION IN SOMALIA
Clients often approach me with a general idea of what they need, and this project was no different. I was able to jump right in with my expertise and helped AMISOM grow and evolve. I advised African Union military and civilian leaders (AMISOM), Somali Federal Government representatives and liaised and coordinated with the UN agencies on the ground on the mission's communications strategy. Managed a press office, newsroom, research, international outreach departments and visiting embedded journalists; as well as overseeing and directing all media and public relations output for the African Union/United Nations mission in Somalia.
Today, the AU is doing exceptionally well, and I'm proud to have been part of the process.
MEDIA TRAINING PLANNER, WRITER AND COORDINATOR
Often times my clients have everything they need to succeed, they just require the resources and support to make a strategic jump. I worked on this project for several months and the end result was truly spectacular. In the chaotic media simulation environment, I provided quick and executable solutions to complex training scenarios for individual exercise periods as part of the exercise control team. I planned, wrote and executed the media component of the international headquarters' mission rehearsals and exercises.

As a journalist, proficient across all platforms - TV news, online/print media and social media - I provided a daily TV news program that brought the platform a level of credibility previously lacking This resulted in a more realistic training environment for NATO’s operational and strategic headquarters.
DEPLOYABLE ADVISER IN COMMUNICATIONS, INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT & STABILISATION
Adviser in Stabilisation, Communications and International Engagement deployed globally on contracts for the UK Government (Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Department for International Development & Ministry of Defence) as an adviser to crisis planning, military campaign planning. Also conduct assessments on political and strategic influence in international organisations and missions.
I love working with this client, and look forward to collaborating together on many more successful projects in the future.
